Air Fryer Tofu and Cauliflower

Deliciously seasoned and easily made, this Air Fryer Tofu and Cauliflower will become your go-to recipe for a perfect snack or quick dinner!

I hope you don’t mind air fryer recipes two weeks in a row. Just like so many others, I’m totally in love with my air fryer. Also, I can’t stop eating this recipe. Every time I have tofu or cauliflower lying around my kitchen it doesn’t last long because I’m tossing it in the air fryer in no time.

Like some of my other favorite food creations, I created this recipe by rummaging through my fridge hungry one day. I had about a third of a block of tofu and maybe a quarter of a head of cauliflower. I added the tofu, diced, and the cauliflower florets to a bowl, tossed in some seasonings, drizzled them lightly with avocado oil, mixed it all up, put it in the air fryer, and made a delicious lunch in about 15 minutes.

Sometimes I only use either tofu or cauliflower and not both. It just depends on if I have one of them already and am making something quick, or if the meal was premeditated. It can also depend on what I happen to be in the mood for.

I love to make a dip to use for these, and that as well usually depends on what I have on hand. I like to mix hot sauce with either vegan ranch or caesar dressing. I always use either sriracha or my favorite, Pepper Plant Chunky Garlic, but you can use whichever hot sauce is your fave or go-to — or no hot sauce at all if that’s not your thing.

When I talk about air frying tofu, many people ask if it’s crispy like when you oil fry it. It is definitely crispy, it is definitely delicious, but it is also a different kind of crispy than when you oil fry. I love it both ways, but it’s a different food experience. In the beginning, I didn’t really have a preference, but now I find myself mostly craving it in the air fryer because it’s not oily. Just be careful, because if you air fry them too long, you’ll end up with croutons.

The cauliflower comes out similar to being roasted in the oven. Browned and crispy on the outside and yet tender in the middle. Just make sure not to cut your florets too large, or they may get too crispy on the outside by the time the insides are soft.

As I said above, I love these together, or on their own. As a snack, I’ll quickly fry up what I have. When making a meal out of this, I like to do them both and have something green on the side. Last time, I enjoyed it as a meal with the tofu and the cauliflower and broccoli “rice” on the side.
